Company Profile:

SurfSide Software, Inc. was founded in 1997 with a single goal in mind: "To take shop floor scheduling to new heights by using the newly available Visual Technology". To that end the Visual Scheduling Board was developed and is now available as a stand-alone product or as an interface module to existing MRP Software.

As a stand-alone product the VSB is "Lean and Mean". Production Demand is entered through a unique component created by Surfside, the MRPTree. The MRPTree allows the Master Scheduler to enter demand at the top level on a "Tree Spreadsheet" and make lower level adjustments. As "inventory turns" increase and Just-in-Time Scheduling becomes a standard, this simple, flexible entry system allows complete control for the stand-alone user.

Most large manufacturing facilities already have an ERP / MRP system. SurfSide has created a "soft" interface to the Visual Scheduling Board that allows a variable file format to be used. Visual Scheduling can now be added to any existing software.
